ATLANTA--()--Liaison Technologies, a global provider of secure cloud-based integration and data management services and solutions, announced today that the company’s healthcare division experienced an 83 percent growth rate in 2012, while expanding its customer base in the life sciences and healthcare sectors and more than doubling the size of its staff. This revenue growth demonstrates the direct applicability of Liaison’s solutions in the healthcare and life sciences markets with the increasing demand for integrated health information. Liaison’s continued momentum is evidenced not only by the company’s growth in 2012, but also a trend of 46 percent continued annual growth from 2008-2012, as well as the recent announcement of four customers out of the top five pharmaceutical companies in the world.
“In today’s healthcare environment, it is imperative for companies to be able to adapt to the changing needs of their customers in order to help them meet the challenges they face”
In 2012, Liaison extended its reach in both the life sciences and healthcare industries, offering a range of services for healthcare organizations and pharmaceutical companies. Some examples of these include:
- Serving as the underlying integration arm for established healthcare IT companies by providing expertise to quickly connect and harmonize patient data with the companies’ solutions;
- Creating a health information exchange currently being used by a research hospital and a large pharmaceutical company for secondary use and clinical research and development; and
- Providing integration services on both ends between pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations to speed clinical trials; and
- Introducing a cloud-based suite of Healthcare Information as a Service offerings, including Master Person Index and Patient Document Repository services.
As the number of patients continues to increase in value-based care settings, healthcare and life sciences organizations require scalable solutions that enable them to manage large volumes of complex data more easily and quickly. Cloud-based data integration services allow organizations to exchange patient information from disparate systems, create longitudinal patient records, deliver drugs to market faster and ultimately, enhance patient outcomes.
“In today’s healthcare environment, it is imperative for companies to be able to adapt to the changing needs of their customers in order to help them meet the challenges they face,” said Gary Palgon, vice president, healthcare solutions at Liaison Technologies. “We have been able to scale our business year after year, and we aim to carry this momentum into 2013 by continuing to provide organizations in life sciences and healthcare with the tools and expertise they need to meet industry regulations and improve overall patient care.”
