SAN FRANCISCO--()--Three of The Presidio Group LLC’s capital advisors have been named to the Barron’s 2013 list of the Top 1,000 Advisors in America.
“based on assets under management, revenue generated for the advisors' firms, and the quality of their practices.”
Barron’s ranked Presidio’s managing directors Colin Carter seventh on the list of Texas advisors, while Bruce Brugler (#76) and Jeffrey Zlot (#92) were selected for Barron’s California list.
According to Barron’s, the list is “based on assets under management, revenue generated for the advisors' firms, and the quality of their practices.”
“It’s an honor to be recognized by Barron’s,” said Zlot. “But it’s one that we three share with all of our colleagues at the firm. At Presidio, we apply a broader view of a client’s world and a broader range of resources to meet a client’s needs than typical investment advisors. We strive to address the entire wealth lifecycle, from its creation, through its retention and growth, to its transfer to successive generations. Our success as individuals is driven by the experience and dedication of the entire Presidio team.”
Zlot co-founded The Presidio Group LLC in 1997 (with CEO Brodie Cobb). He was previously a financial advisor with Montgomery Securities and a research analyst with Peter Hart Research Associates in Washington, DC. Zlot is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a graduate of Colby College. This is his second consecutive appearance on the Barron’s Top 1,000 list.
Brugler joined The Presidio Group in 2004, after serving as a managing director at Montgomery and Bank of America Securities. He earned both MBA and BS degrees from Stanford University. Brugler is no stranger to Barron’s: he’s been selected for its prestigious Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors list each of the past five years.
Carter was a private wealth advisor at Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs before coming to The Presidio Group and opening its Dallas office in 2003. He, too, is a many-time recipient of Barron’s recognition, making four consecutive appearances on its Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors list. Carter is a CFA charterholder. He earned an MBA at the University of Texas and an undergraduate degree from Duke University.
“While their lists are dominated by global financial institutions, we’re deeply gratified when Barron’s recognizes that financial wisdom resides in boutique firms like ours as well,” said Mark Palmer, Head of Capital Advisors at The Presidio Group. “Our advisors consistently rank among the top investment professionals in the industry. Even more gratifying are the many referrals we receive from clients. They are the source of our growth and the validation we value above all else.”
