Dr. Arnera is a physician, scientist and entrepreneur dedicated to advancing pharmaceutical research for more than 20 years. Since founding PHT Corporation Sàrl in 2001 he has developed strong relationships with European customers’ clinical sites and regulators, helping to establish PHT as the eCOA industry leader and innovator. Previously he founded SciCor, the first European Central Clinical Laboratory now Covance Central Laboratory and started his career in research as a Clinical Investigator. “How to Optimise Clinical Development in the Elderly: Some Practical Examples” – Panelists will discuss how frailty may limit clinical trial participation. Case examples will provide insights on improving recruitment and how to innovate when designing studies that include elderly patients.

“Paediatric Clinical Trials - Trial Design” – This session gives an overview, assessment and understanding of the development of paediatric medicinal products and clinical trials. A general learning along with specific and relevant challenges that occur throughout the design and realization of paediatric clinical trials will be given.
