SAN FRANCISCO--()--Allison+Partners has announced several promotions and transitions among its West Coast senior team designed to harness cross-industry experience and align expertise with specific growth sectors.
“The growth opportunities in Los Angeles are as diverse as the people who live here.”
- Phil Carpenter, formerly senior partner and general manager of the San Francisco office, has been promoted to senior partner, West Coast;
- Zach Colvin, formerly senior vice president, has been promoted to general manager, San Francisco;
- Larry Krutchik, partner, has become partner and general manager of the Los Angeles office; and
- Dawn Wilcox, formerly Los Angeles general manager, is now managing director of the firm’s social impact practice.
With responsibility for the firm’s West Coast operations, Phil Carpenter oversees the Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego offices, representing more than 60 employees and major brands in the growing consumer and technology sectors. Entering his seventh year with the agency, he has been instrumental in the growth of the San Francisco office, which doubled in size during his tenure as general manager. Building off that success, he expects to significantly increase the client portfolio in each of the agency’s four West Coast offices in the coming year. “We’re growing rapidly throughout the West,” said Carpenter, “and these structural changes will help us to manage that growth smoothly and to vest leaders with a strong sense of entrepreneurial ownership.”
Zach Colvin has been a significant force on the West Coast in the six years he has been with the agency. Having begun his tenure in Allison+Partners’ Los Angeles office, he joined the San Francisco team in 2010. An experienced communications strategist, Colvin has designed and led impactful initiatives for technology, entertainment, digital media, mobile and consumer electronics companies. In his new role as general manger he will also oversee operations, financial management, staffing and development, client service and the overall growth of the San Francisco office.
Larry Krutchik has broadened the agency’s core competencies in consumer lifestyle, public affairs and in promoting important social causes since joining Allison+Partners in 2009. As general manager and senior counselor he leverages the agency’s cross sector expertise to ensure clients benefit from the most talented strategists and account teams. Serving an impressive roster of consumer lifestyle, established and start-up technology clients, Krutchik expects to see strong growth in Los Angeles as Silicon Beach continues to expand. “From technology to healthcare to the convergence of entertainment and digital, there’s a palpable energy in our region, fueled by innovative ideas, creative minds and the California spirit,” said Krutchik. “The growth opportunities in Los Angeles are as diverse as the people who live here.”
A skilled strategist with expertise in behavior change campaigns, cause marketing and corporate philanthropy, Dawn Wilcox will oversee a team of professionals across the agency in her new role as managing director of social impact. Having created and executed campaigns for nonprofit and corporate clients that include partnership management, media relations, thought leadership, internal communications and digital strategy, Wilcox will now expand and market the agency’s significant social impact experience across all practice areas.
