ONTARIO, Calif.--()--RBF Consulting (RBF), a Company of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE MKT:BKR), has been selected by the County of Riverside for the final design phase of improvements to the Interstate 10 interchange at the Jefferson Street over-crossing in the City of Indio, Calif. The contract has an 18-month term and a total value of $3 million.

The Interstate 10/Jefferson Street improvements, a top priority project for the Coachella Valley Association of Governments, will correct existing geometric deficiencies, reduce projected operational deficiencies due to an expected increase in traffic demand and congestion, and improve access along Jefferson Street. The improvements include construction of a new modified diamond interchange with a five-lane over-crossing and will involve bridge structure removal, intersection reconfigurations, traffic signal construction, and multi-staged construction phasing plans.
