The Paso Robles Community Open House invites all business members of the community to learn more about plans for Pasolivo. Joining Dirk will be Stratus Development Partners who is leading the endeavor. Stratus has subcontracted DesignArc as project architect, MJS Design Group as project landscape architect, and the Faulkner Design Group for project interior design/branding. The afternoon reception with local musical entertainment by The Belmores and catering by Trumpet Vine will include a presentation of plans for the Orchard, Barn, and Tasting Room Visitors Center.
Pasolivo produces premium extra virgin olive oils from its 11 varietals that are sustainably grown, hand-picked, milled and master-blended on the property. It is a leading provider of true extra virgin olive oil.
The Open House presentation will showcase concepts for the first phase renovation, including the Tasting Room, Barn and an overhaul of the surrounding landscape, designed to convey reminiscences of a classic early California Ranch motif, updated with timelessness and fresh, clean, modern flair. As stewards of the property, Pasolivo will be responsible partners in the Paso Robles community, setting an example for preservation, embracement of local history and Paso Robles unity. Beginning with the landscape architecture, plans are to remove foreign vegetation and reinstate indigenous plant life and flora, including scented plantings of rosemary, sage and lavender. Country gates, stacked stone walls and iron will be part of the concept. Walking trails are to be incorporated for open access, enabling the public to enjoy the ranch landscape and scenic vistas for recreation and meditation. Comprehensive planting of olive groves are planned to enrich olive production. The Tasting Room will be redesigned with a welcoming entrance and a view of the olive orchard inviting visitors to learn about the qualities of true extra virgin olive oil, its wellness properties and the specialization of Paso Robles production. Using a green design principle, the Tasting Room will utilize reclaimed woods, solar integration and repurposed materials. The Barn will be renovated, preserving the impression of the original structure while updating it with fresh contemporary elements. It will be used for gatherings, educational presentations, musical performances and exhibits. Phase one of the ranch renovation will be completed in 2014.
