CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa--()--Dr. Michael L. Krychman, Executive Director of The Southern California Center for Sexual Health and Survivorship, was last night’s recipient of a significant award from the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) for his co-creation of the “Your Voice Your Wish” (www.yourvoiceyourwish.com). The interactive website advocates the Women’s Initiative in Sexual Health to encourage support for treatment of women’s sexual dysfunction.
“Too many women suffer in silence with low libido or painful sex because the conversation is taboo; my wish is to break the silence and offer women real solutions”
Dr. Krychman is a world-renowned sexual medicine gynecologist, expert in survivorship medicine, and author of many books including: 100 Questions & Answers about Women’s Sexual Wellness and Vitality, and 100 Questions & Answers about Breast Cancer Sensuality, Sexuality and Intimacy. He helps couples overcome challenges to intimacy posed by life-changing events such as serious illness, fertility issues and menopause, working with the latest treatment options available to enhance individual quality of life.
Dr. Krychman’s efforts reflect the ISSWSH’s advocacy for women’s sexual health as an integral part of their overall health. Given that 43 percent of women suffer from some form of sexual dysfunction, both Dr. Krychman and the ISSWSH support respectful evaluation and effective medical and psychological treatment for this problem, particularly therapy that is safe and effective.
Replens® Long-Lasting Vaginal Moisturizer is honored to congratulate Dr. Krychman on his award and supports the efforts that he and the ISSWSH are making as advocates for women’s sexual health. Replens received FDA 510(k) Clearance as a Medical Device and is clinically shown as one of the most effective ways to address vaginal dryness.
“Too many women suffer in silence with low libido or painful sex because the conversation is taboo; my wish is to break the silence and offer women real solutions,” Dr. Krychman states. “It is vital that we work toward the same social awareness and acceptance of women’s sexual health as that afforded to men with the open discussion of male sexual health issues like erectile dysfunction and the medications like Viagra and Cialis to address this condition. The ready availability of products like over-the-counter estrogen-free Replens empowers women to take positive steps that enhance their sexual well-being.”
