Brunswick Group Adds Two New U.S. Partners: Bethany Sherman and Chrysta Castañeda

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brunswick Group LLC, a leading corporate communications consultancy, announced today that Bethany Sherman and Chrysta Castañeda have joined as Partners in the United States. Ms. Sherman, who is based in New York, will advise on corporate clients and issues and further strengthen Brunswick’s expertise in the Financial Institutions sector. Ms. Castañeda will join Brunswick’s Dallas office on March 14, bringing to the firm’s litigation communications practice more than 20 years of trial and litigation experience representing Fortune 500 clients across a variety of industries.

Ms. Sherman was most recently Chief Communications Officer at Dow Jones, where she built a centralized, global communications function for Dow Jones’ brands, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and Dow Jones Newswires. Prior to Dow Jones, she served as Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications at NASDAQ OMX, where she oversaw the brand’s transformation from a non-profit regulatory organization to a for-profit, publicly traded exchange. She previously spent more than 10 years in leadership roles at communications agencies.

Ms. Castañeda joins Brunswick from Locke Lord LLP, an American Lawyer AmLaw 100 law firm, where for the past 10 years she was a senior litigation partner serving her clients as lead trial attorney in highly publicized litigation. Prior to Locke Lord, she was a partner at Arter & Hadden and an associate at Jones Day. In 2012, she ran for U.S. Congress in the newly-created Texas District 33, campaigning for women’s equal representation in government.
