BEAVER CREEK, Colo.--()--Stanford University’s Precourt Institute for Energy (PIE) and Precourt Energy Efficiency Center (PEEC), in conjunction with the Vail Valley Foundation, have announced a convenient way to access the discussions and presentations from this year’s Vail Global Energy Forum live via an exclusive Internet stream.
“Promises and Challenges for the Energy Economy”
The 2013 Vail Global Energy Forum will be live streamed by the Vail Valley Foundation and Rocky Mountain PBS for the duration of the forum on March 2 & 3, 2013. The event can be viewed at www.vailglobalenergyforum.com, or at http://www.rmpbs.org/vail during the following times:

Kicking off Saturday, March 2 with introductions from the VGEF’s Executive Director Carl Colby and Vail Resorts’ Chief Sustainability Officer Mark Gasta, day one will feature an opening keynote on “Promises and Challenges for the Energy Economy” by Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, as well as presentations from James Sweeney, Tom Siebel, Sally Benson, and Arun Majumdar.
Day two will showcase presentations by former U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman (D-New Mexico) and Admiral Gary Roughead, Former Chief of U.S. Naval Operations on Energy Innovations in the Military. Additionally, hydraulic fracturing presentations by Mark Zoback, of Stanford University and Jim Brown, President, Western Hemisphere, Halliburton will then take place, followed by panel discussions on natural gas and the energy financial markets.
