American Career College Donates More Than 1,000 Teddy Bears in Second Annual Drive for Local Hospitals

ACC’s first delivery of teddy bears brightened the day of patients at Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach, CA

ONTARIO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Members of the American Career College community have collected more than 1,000 teddy bears in ACC’s second annual drive in honor of Valentine's Day—more than double last year’s number, the college has announced.

“Giving back to the community is one of our core values. As we train professionals to work in the health care field, we want to lead them by example, supporting the institutions that are dedicated to saving lives and improving the health of our community.”

The teddy bear collection drive started Feb. 12 and delivery of the stuffed animals began Feb. 28, with the first 500 teddy bears helping to brighten the day of young patients at Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach.

“We’re very proud that we’ve collected over 1,000 teddy bears this year and have started delivering them to local hospitals,” said ACC President Tom McNamara. “Giving back to the community is one of our core values.
