WALTHAM, Mass.--()--Telerik, an end-to-end provider of software development, lifecycle and content management tools and solutions, today announced Version 2.0 of its Test Studio for iOS. Telerik’s automated testing tool for mobile iOS apps introduces a cloud sync web portal for test automation and user feedback within a single offering and can be used for native, web and hybrid app testing. Test Studio for iOS is currently available for free download on the Apple App Store.
“Test Studio for iOS is a serious mobile testing solution”
According to Forrester Research, “When talking to successful mobile shops, we've heard this again and again: Make sure your app works before you submit it to an App Store. It seems like a simple statement, and yet it's not what we see development shops practicing… It's not as easy to force an app update on customers' devices. Even though the app stores make the process straightforward, users want to know why they are upgrading and do not have to do so. The implication: You'll need to make thorough testing a regular part of your faster development process — and be very confident that your new releases work for all users.”1
Test Studio for iOS provides an advanced and reliable solution for ensuring an iOS app works as expected, prior to launch. With the latest release, Test Studio for iOS is the only solution available with both test automation and user feedback within a single solution. This is done via the cloud sync portal, giving developers the opportunity to get real-time feedback from users while tracking automated tests and results. Also, customers can use the Test Studio for iOS API Framework to write automated UI tests of their iOS and mobile web applications.
Some of Test Studio for iOS feature highlights are:
- The first product of its kind to provide support for web, native and hybrid iOS apps, including native iOS controls.
- Test Studio for iOS does not rely on image-based element detection but employs object-based recording. All recorded test steps are based on element locators, ensuring that the correct element is targeted when tests are played back.
- The only automated testing tool for mobile (iOS) websites and apps that is currently available for free on the Apple App Store.
“Test Studio for iOS is a serious mobile testing solution,” said Christopher Eyhorn, Executive Vice President, Telerik Testing Division. “Unlike competitors, Test Studio for iOS combines mobile test automation and end-user feedback into a single product to help iOS developers throughout the entire app launch process. It is a free tool that provides in-depth test automation capabilities, ensuring the quality of iOS apps and websites are on par with user expectations.”
Test Studio for iOS is part of the Test Studio product line, delivering solutions to meet all software testing needs, regardless of size and development model. Test Studio is Telerik’s flagship product for functional, performance and load testing for web and desktop applications. For more information or to download Test Studio for iOS, please click here.
