“In looking at our business units, we realized there is a better way to give customers the breadth of services and increased level of attention they need,” said Chris Chuang, Chief Operating Officer, Bandwidth. “The line between our wholesale and enterprise customers has blurred. With enterprise buyers becoming more sophisticated and our largest wholesale customers turning more frequently to using our APIs and end-user facing applications, it made sense for us to combine these businesses into a single division.”
Services available through the division include Voice (Origination, Termination, Toll Free, SIP Trunking), 9-1-1 (E9-1-1 services, ALI database management, NG9-1-1) and SMS. The division will serve local exchange carriers, cable operators, VoIP service providers, over the top (OTT) voice and messaging providers, unified communication providers, and enterprise customers.

The new Bandwidth Wholesale and Enterprise Division consists of more than 200 employees primarily located in the company’s Raleigh, N.C. headquarters and a satellite office in Denver, Colo. The division is responsible for more than 500 wholesale accounts, and thousands of enterprise customers. In addition, the division is responsible for the Next Generation 9-1-1 business, including Alabama’s ANGEN deployment, which is currently underway.
Bandwidth’s Republic Wireless and Phonebooth divisions will continue to operate as standalone business units, serving the consumer and small business segments, respectively.
