BOSTON--()--The Associated Industries of Massachusetts International Business Council (AIM-IBC) has extended the nomination deadline for its 2013 Global Trade Awards to Friday, March 22.
The Global Trade Awards recognize Massachusetts firms, institutions and public agencies of all sizes that have demonstrated excellence in international trade. Nominations include a category for globally-owned companies that have positively impacted the Massachusetts economy.
Nomination forms are available online at www.aimnet.org/international. Winning entries should demonstrate one or more of the following:
- Increasing or retaining jobs in Massachusetts by entering international markets
- Demonstrating new or creative solutions to the import/export challenges
- Producing or adapting a product line or service for a foreign market
- Establishing alliances or partnerships to increase international business
- Investing in infrastructure or manufacturing in Massachusetts to enhance trade
The three winners of the 2013 Global Trade Awards will be honored at AIM’s 98th Annual Meeting on Friday, May 10 at the Waltham Westin Hotel.
In 2012, winners Dassault Systemes, Diamond Machining Technology, and Immunetics, Inc. spanned the technology, manufacturing and life science industries respectively. Past award winners include Philips, Hasbro, Rocheleau Tool & Die, Headwall Photonics, and Acushnet/Titleist/Footjoy, as well as nonprofit organizations such as Northeastern University International Co-op and the Massachusetts Export Center. The Global Trade Awards have recognized 70 Massachusetts companies, institutions and individuals since 1996.
