Satellite Healthcare Celebrates National Kidney Month, World Kidney Day with Free Blood Pressure Screenings

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In honor of National Kidney Month, Satellite Healthcare has announced it will offer free blood pressure screenings on World Kidney Day, Thursday, March 14^th in select Dialysis and WellBound locations, nationwide.

First observed in 2006, World Kidney Day began as a way to raise awareness of National Kidney Month and to promote kidney health worldwide. More than 26 million individuals in the United States alone are estimated to suffer from Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) with millions of others at risk due to high blood pressure, family history and diabetes. Proactive awareness campaigns are paramount to battling CKD as many cases aren’t realized until the disease advances, making treatment and rehabilitation more challenging.
