Boyden World Corporation Enhances Leadership Team to Continue Its Commitment to Client Needs

– Top global firm appoints Deborah Gordon Chief Learning & Development Officer and promotes Breck Armstrong to CIO to further boost market position –

NEW YORK--()--Boyden, a global leader in executive search with more than 65 offices in over 40 countries, has further strengthened its team with key talent announcements.

Deborah Gordon, a leadership development and organizational effectiveness expert, has been appointed as Boyden’s Chief Learning & Development Officer and Breck Armstrong has been promoted to Chief Information Officer.

Ms. Gordon, in her newly created position, will be focused on firm-wide learning and development as well as business improvement including client service, delivery excellence, and talent acquisition and retention. She will report to Trina Gordon, President & CEO of Boyden World Corporation.

Deborah Gordon has spent a significant part of her career at General Electric Company, holding a variety of executive positions including Program Leader in Executive Education at GE Crotonville — John F. Welch Leadership Development Center. In addition, she was Vice President, Training & Organizational Effectiveness in a division of GE Capital. Jack Welch, the former CEO of GE, deemed a number of her process improvements as “best practices”.

Prior to joining Boyden, Ms. Gordon owned her own successful consulting practice focusing on leadership development, talent management and executive coaching. Previously, she was a member of the human resources leadership team at Deloitte, where she built and led the largest regional professional development group.

Ms. Gordon holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude, from Brandeis University. She is a Certified Professional Co-active Coach (CPCC), a Six Sigma Black Belt and co-author of the book “A Guide to Getting It: Creative Intelligence.”

In addition, in naming Mr. Armstrong as CIO, Boyden has further upped its commitment to superior client service through its global information technology services, global team integration and knowledge sharing platforms. Through his consultancy, Mr. Armstrong has managed Boyden’s IT systems since 2007.
