WASHINGTON--()--GEICO announced today that Seth Ingall has been named senior vice president, with responsibility for claims home office, staff counsel, communications and the GEICO Philanthropic Foundation. He will also continue to serve on the board of directors of GEICO’s insurance companies. Ingall succeeds Don Lyons, who retired from the company after 44 years of dedicated service.

Ingall most recently served as regional vice president since 2007, first leading GEICO’s regional office in Woodbury, N.Y. and helping the company remain the leading insurer in the state, before moving to the GEICO’s regional office in Buffalo, N.Y. in 2012. Ingall originally joined GEICO as a Certified Insurance Counselor interviewer in 1986, and took on assignments of increasing responsibility before earning his law degree and joining the office of staff counsel. He went on to become managing attorney in the Silver Spring, Md., staff counsel office, then administrative senior claims attorney in claims home office, and subsequently served as assistant vice president for claims in GEICO’s Fredericksburg, Va., office. He was named vice president of GEICO claims operations in 2005.
Ingall holds a bachelor’s degree in communications, legal institutions, economics and government from American University and a law degree from American University’s Washington College of Law.
