PHILADELPHIA--()--The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) has joined Coventry HealthAmerica’s provider network for its CoventryCares Medical Assistance (Medicaid) plan. All CHOP facilities and doctors are now available to provide care and services to CoventryCares members. The agreement was effective October 2012.

CoventryCares was awarded a Medical Assistance managed care contract by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Public Welfare in 2010. It provides services to Medical Assistance members in 54 counties in Pennsylvania, including the five-county Southeast Zone, including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
