Visionworks Provides Free Vision Screenings and Eye Health Information at the 2013 Tampa Bay Championship presented by EverBank

Ahead of a market-wide store redesign, national optical company becomes the Official Eyewear Retailer of the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour

PALM HARBOR, Fla.--()--Visionworks, the largest wholly owned U.S.-based optical retailer, today announced its activation at the 2013 Tampa Bay Championship presented by EverBank. The event, which takes place March 11-17 at Innisbrook Resort’s Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor, FL, is the latest event for Visionworks as the Official Eyewear Retailer of the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour.

The event sponsorship precedes the San Antonio-based retailer’s 2013 redesign of its 13 Visionworks stores in the Tampa/St. Petersburg/Sarasota region. Brighter in layout and appearance, the enhanced stores will offer a larger selection of contemporary eyewear styles at a great value and with even better service. It’s the culmination of Visionworks’ “A Better You” brand promise: ‘the most frames, the best people and the right prices.’

Visionworks associates will be on-site during tournament week at the Tampa Bay Championship Expo Center, providing free vision screenings and eye health information as well as a “family of eyewear” giveaway. Event goers can stop by the Visionworks booth located in the Tampa Bay Times Fan Zone behind the 18th green.
