Parcel2Go announces arrival of DPD delivery services

MANCHESTER, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The UK's largest online parcel delivery service has come up with yet another way for individuals and businesses to get packages delivered safely to addresses in the UK and Europe.

DPD Classic is suitable for packages weighing less than 30kg and measuring less than 1.75m. Consignments can be picked up from business or residential addresses and the service comes with free £50 compensation covering loss or damage as standard. Additional cover of up to £500 is available.

For total convenience, DPD Classic customers are sent a text message on the morning of the pick-up with details of a one-hour collection timeslot. Recipients in a number of European countries will also receive a text message containing details of a one-hour delivery timeslot.

DPD is a subsidiary of Geopost, one of Europe's largest parcel delivery groups. The company operates a closed network, with DPD couriers collecting and delivering customer's packages, ensuring the highest level of security for every single parcel. What's more, a full track and trace service means service users are able to monitor the progress of their consignment from the moment it is collected to the moment it is signed for by the recipient.
