ORLANDO, Fla.--()--Altia Systems was selected as having the best new idea for a product most likely to succeed as part of informal polling conducted following the “Innovation Showcase” presentations during the CableLabs’ Winter Conference, this week.
“We are honored to receive this extraordinary recognition”
Nine companies participated in the showcase session, in which each company was given 8 minutes to present and demonstrate a technology solution for cable. Altia Systems demonstrated its unique panoramic camera technology called PanaCast ™ used for live video collaboration and security, offering a very wide field of view and individual control. The CableLabs’ Innovation Showcase event again has introduced great technical innovators with unique products to the cable industry.
“Innovation is a key component to CableLabs’ mission and we appreciate the opportunity to showcase so many pioneering companies with products that will impact the future of the cable industry,” said Phil McKinney, president and chief executive officer of CableLabs.
“We are honored to receive this extraordinary recognition,” said Aurangzeb Khan, president and chief executive officer of Altia Systems, Inc. “With the PanaCast end-to-end solution, we are reinventing real-time video by delivering each participant, anywhere in the world, their own 200 degree field-of-view with individual control. PanaCast gives you the full human visual perspective, enabling you to virtually “be there from anywhere” with apps running on the devices you already own.”
Twice a year, during the summer and the winter, CableLabs hosts members-only conferences which provide attendees with current information about key technology and strategic trends facing the cable industry, as well as providing a forum for them to interact with each other.
