PHILADELPHIA--()--Janney Montgomery Scott LLC (“Janney”), a leading regional full‐service financial services firm, has announced that Andrew Kistler, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager of Janney’s Southeast region, has permanently relocated to Janney’s Charlotte, N.C. office, and established a regional hub from which he will continue to lead the firm’s expansion in the Southeast. Since joining Janney in October 2012, Kistler has temporarily worked out of the firm’s Washington, D.C. branch office.
“I’m excited to return to serve the community where I grew up and built my career, and look forward to continuing to develop our firm’s presence in this region.”
“Moving Andy—who is a well-known and respected veteran in North Carolina—to the center of our Southeast recruiting efforts, will drive Janney’s ability to deepen our presence locally and continue to provide clients with the top-quality service in convenient locations,” said Jerry Lombard president of the firm’s Private Client Group. “This year, we’re looking to build on the recruiting successes we’ve had in the last year and further capitalize on existing opportunities we see within this region.”
Kistler will work alongside Charlotte Branch Manager Stuart Singer, who also is well-established as a leader in the Charlotte community, and who opened Janney’s office in that market in 2003.
At Janney, Kistler has spearheaded the development of the firm’s presence in the Southeast. Last year, Janney opened South Carolina offices in Aiken, Columbia and Hilton Head, and recently announced the opening of a new branch office in Hendersonville, North Carolina and a satellite office in Asheville. Kistler also was instrumental in the recent hirings of industry veterans David Grice, of the Hendersonville office, and John Kline, of the Raleigh office, who manage more than $140 million and $180 million in client assets, respectively. A native of North Carolina, Kistler was raised in Morganton, attended the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, and spent 30 years of his accomplished career in the region, including time as southeast regional manager at Stifel.
"Moving back to Charlotte is truly a homecoming for me,” explained Kistler. “I’m excited to return to serve the community where I grew up and built my career, and look forward to continuing to develop our firm’s presence in this region.”
