They will make outstanding additions to our senior team.”
With more than 17 years working in city government, Mr. Huberman brings deep expertise in the complexities of government transformation at the operational, strategic and tactical level. In his former role as the chief executive officer and superintendent of Chicago Public Schools, he implemented major reforms, including a student safety plan. He also served as president of the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), the second-largest transit agency in the nation, where he instituted a company-wide turnaround plan based on performance management principles, which led to a 5.4 percent increase in ridership in 2008, its highest level since 1992.

Additionally, he served for nine years at the Chicago Police Department where he created and implemented the most advanced policing technology system in the country, as well as managed and developed innovative community-based strategies that utilized this cutting-edge technology to achieve significant decreases in crime. Mr. Huberman currently serves as an operating executive for two Chicago-based private equity firms, and has started two companies in the education technology sector. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English and psychology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and master’s degrees in business administration and social service administration from the University of Chicago, where he was both a Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow and an Albert Schweitzer Fellow.
Specializing in K-12 education, Mr. Brady’s primary areas of concentration include partnering with school districts to plan and execute improvements to their business operational systems; allowing additional resources to be available to impact student academic achievement; providing planning and guidance for complex challenges to districts, such as budget deficient reductions and school closings; and providing districts innovative capital improvement methods, such as public-private partnerships. With more than 26 years as a U.S. Army Officer and 14 years in primarily urban public education, he has led complex organizations successfully.
Previously, he served as chief operating officer (COO) of Fairfax County Public Schools, the 12th-largest school district in the U.S., and as COO of the District of Columbia Public Schools.
