The new vacuum has no bag, no cylinder, no hoses, and no cord, and still outperforms a number of cordless vacuum cleaners, as well as various corded vacuum brands. “My big challenge as a vacuum designer was generating enough suction to get the dirt through long tubes,” said Nick Grey, founder of Gtech and inventor of the AirRAM. “Instead, I designed a vacuum that only moves the dirt two inches from the floor to the collection tray, drastically reducing its energy usage without affecting cleaning performance, and allowing dust, dirt and fluff to be compacted into tidy bales that can simply be dropped into the trash.” He also noted that size can be deceptive.
