IRVINE, Calif.--()--ASICS’ Athlete and decorated long distance runner, Deena Kastor, finished third and Master Champion with a time of 2:32:39 in the ASICS LA Marathon this weekend. As an Agoura Hills local, the marathon served as her homecoming race, and is only her second marathon competition since the birth of her daughter two years ago.

One of the greatest women’s distance runners of all time, Kastor is no stranger to fierce competition. She currently holds American records in the marathon, half-marathon, and numerous road distances. Placing in the top third in the ASICS LA Marathon is another exciting feat for the accomplished athlete.
Kastor has never been shy of success in her career. Adding the ASICS LA marathon finish to her long list of accolades, she is also well-known for victory in the 2006 London Marathon where she became one of the fastest female marathoner ever. She also won a bronze medal in the women’s marathon at the 2004 Olympics, becoming the second American in Olympic history to medal in the event.
