SUNNYVALE, Calif.--()--Spirent Communications, the leader in testing networks, devices and services, today announced that its test solution was used in a recent EANTC interoperability event. Spirent, which has supported EANTC’s annual efforts for close to a decade, continues to deliver the solutions needed to validate established and emerging technologies and network protocols including Carrier Ethernet, MPLS and Software-Defined Networks (SDN).
“Testing IPv6 transition technologies ensures a smoother deployment of full IPv6 implementations while providing confidence that these technologies will interoperate with IPv4 networks.”
The interoperability event will be highlighted this week at MPLS and Ethernet World Congress in Paris. Spirent TestCenter was used for OpenFlow testing and emulation of MPLS-TP nodes as well as MPLS-TP and IP/MPLS internetworking and other MPLS-related tests.
“EANTC continues to set industry standards for the planning, execution and documentation of public interoperability events,” said Carsten Rossenhoevel, managing director of EANTC. “Spirent’s ongoing role as a testing partner in our comprehensive public demonstrations is important as the complexity of our test plans and related test cases increases each year.”
With the ability to test the performance, interoperability and conformance of new SDN technologies, service providers and network equipment manufacturers continue to turn to Spirent for proven solutions which help to facilitate the introduction and operation of these systems.
“With unsurpassed ease of use as well as the ability to scale large configurations and validate flow tables for OpenFlow using integrated traffic generation, Spirent continues to offer the industry an innovative solution to address a wide range of scenarios and concerns,” said Rajesh Rajamani, senior product marketing manager, Spirent. “Testing IPv6 transition technologies ensures a smoother deployment of full IPv6 implementations while providing confidence that these technologies will interoperate with IPv4 networks.”
