WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.--()--The National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN) is pleased to announce the launch of our Illinois Chapter - The Illinois Academy of Mediators & Arbitrators (IAMA). The Academy is an invitation-only association whose membership consists of mediators and arbitrators distinguished by their hands-on experience in the field of civil/commercial conflict resolution and by their commitment to the practice of alternative dispute resolution.
Just 28 attorneys and judges have been recognized as Charter Members of the IL Academy, including a majority of the state’s most widely-accepted ADR professionals across all regions of the state. The IL Chapter Executive Committee includes 4 leading ADR attorneys: William E. Hartgering (JAMS), Robert W. Berliner, Jr., Faustin A. Pipal, Jr. and Stanley P. Sklar.
The Academy’s new website is specifically designed to make life easier for IL attorneys, corporate counsel, adjusters and perhaps most of all for legal support staff. IllinoisMediators.org allows firms to quickly find a suitable neutral by identifying their preferred region and/or dispute type, navigating straight to a roster of trusted local neutrals. A majority of the Academy’s members also publish their availability calendars online for the benefit of clients. This allows the selection of top-tier neutrals and the scheduling of appointments to be expedited for all parties involved.
IllinoisMediators.org is based on the national NADN database, already in wide use in other states including California, Texas, New York, the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Arizona, Colorado and particularly Florida, where the database was developed for the local litigation community. The National Academy database saw more than 40,000 appointments scheduled online in 2012 by more than 7500 individual law offices.
