BOSTON--()--The Publicity Club of New England, the region’s oldest not-for-profit public relations trade organization, today announced that Kennedy Elsey, co-host of MIX 104.1’s popular “Karson & Kennedy” morning show (M-F 5:30-9 a.m. ET) with co-host Karson Tager and Salt, will host the 2013 Bell Ringer Awards ceremony on Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Copley Marriott in Boston.
“We are honored to have Kennedy host this year’s Bell Ringer Awards ceremony”
Born in Richmond, Virginia and raised in suburban Chicago, she earned a double degree in Theater and Psychology at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, then spent three years in Germany. Upon returning to the U.S., she found her calling in North Carolina, where she met her morning “partner-in-crime” Karson, launching her radio career.
Elsey is a natural entertainer and an avid traveler, picking up some of the local flavor wherever she has been. This largely contributes to her sense of daring and love of extreme adventures. From firewalking to skydiving to rappelling down the side of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Elsey is up for anything. She has twirled with Cirque Du Soleil, has gone swimming with dolphins and still has some adventures on her wish list, including bungee jumping and ice climbing. You can see some of her adventures on her “Kennedy Kan” channel.
“We are honored to have Kennedy host this year’s Bell Ringer Awards ceremony,” said Toni Iafrate, president of the Publicity Club of New England for the 2012-2013 season. “Kennedy is a passionate person with a wonderfully energetic personality. She’ll bring a new level of fun to the awards ceremony.”
For this year’s charity auction recipient, Kennedy has selected the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, which is committed to ending sexual violence through healing and social change.
Tickets to attend the Bell Ringer Awards ceremony on June 10 will be available for purchase in early May at www.pubclub.org.
