BEIJING--()--The 11th China Game Business Conference (CGBC), the largest and highest-profile event in China’s game industry, guided by the Organizational Committee of ChinaJoy and organized by Howell International Trade Fair Ltd., will be held at Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai on July 24-26, 2013.
CGBC 2013 will gather thousands of industry players from more than 100 game and related companies around the world to discuss the latest policies and trends, share industry information and seek business exchange and cooperation between domestic and international companies.
CGBC 2013 is composed of 8 theme forums, namely, China International Digital Entertainment Summit, China International Webgame Summit, Overseas Development & Cooperation Forum, SNS & Social Game Forum, Marketing Forum, Investment & Financing Forum, Game Education Forum and Game Ethics and Culture Forum.
Among them, Overseas Development & Cooperation Forum inaugurated in 2010 holds a significant potential in accelerating overseas market expansion. Due to the slowdown in the growth of online game revenue and the number of users in the domestic market, an increasing number of Chinese client-based game manufactures have moved to seek overseas sales. China’s game export revenue saw an explosive growth in 2010, up 111 percent year-on-year.
Meanwhile, the Chinese online games were fully localized to cater to the overseas users while highlighting the swordsman culture of China. With improving quality and expanding distribution channels, the online game sector harvested a revenue of $570 million in 2012, accounting for 6% of the total of China’s game industry and with an annual growth rate of over 50% for the third consecutive year. Webgame with an annual revenue of $230 million and client-based online game with $330 million have become a new growth point in China’s game industry.
Bltech COG, China’s leading overseas distribution platform and game export expert, has been invited by the Organizing Committee of ChinaJoy to co-organize Overseas Development & Cooperation Forum since 2012.
“With a close cooperation with CGBC and with Bltech COG’s influence in the global market, we hope to invite more renowned foreign operators to introduce changes and demand in the overseas market and bring more authentic information to enhance communication between Chinese and international companies and explore the overseas market potential,” said Chen Jufeng, General Manager of Bltech COG.
