PRINCETON, N.J.--()--Berlitz, the world’s premier provider of language training and cross-cultural services, is preparing the next generation to succeed in an increasingly multi-cultural society by offering a new summer camp program, – Creating Global Citizens. This new program from Berlitz, while enhancing the student’s language skills in English or French, provides children and teens with greater awareness of other cultures. This will help prepare them to adapt to unknown situations regardless of geographical, cultural or social context. The camp readies children and teens to interact with different cultures, countries and backgrounds enabling them to eventually become successful global citizens.

Creating Global Citizens Camp helps a student learn and builds confidence through age appropriate activities that develop self-awareness as well as proficiency in skills critical to acquiring global understanding including: communication, team work, problem solving, cultural sensibility and leadership. Younger students will engage in activities such as songs, games, crafts, and storytelling from other countries. Teens will explore other cultures through, debates and discussions, role plays and fun investigations activities, all with the goal of developing leadership and cross-cultural communications skills. Each week ends with a project in which the student puts into practice the communication and cross-cultural skills they learned.
Program Details:
- Appropriate for ages 5 – 16
- Duration: 3 weeks
- Hours: 9 am to 12:00 pm, Monday through Friday
- Session options include: July 2 – 22 or July 29 – August 16
- Available languages include: English and French
