SYDNEY--()--Leaders from national government, global corporations, investment firms and universities will gather on April 10, 2013, for the Bloomberg Australia Economic Summit to discuss Australia’s sustained recession-free growth and key challenges the country will face in 2013. The inaugural Summit serves to explore the country’s position as a standout performer in the global economy.
“We anticipate hearing from Australia’s top government and business leaders their projections for the banking system, currency, energy markets, housing industry and more.”
Speakers will address topics including how government plans to balance its budget, increased investment in mining and resources, the world's second-most costly housing market, and the gender imbalance in corporate leadership. The Summit will be held at the Bloomberg L.P. headquarters in Sydney.
“Unlike many economies around the world, Australia has remained resilient amid several global financial threats, including the recent fiscal crisis in the U.S. and Europe, and it now faces the challenge of weaker growth by other major developed economies,” said Jason Kelly, managing editor of Bloomberg LINK. “We anticipate hearing from Australia’s top government and business leaders their projections for the banking system, currency, energy markets, housing industry and more.”
