Aptiv Solutions Further Strengthens Its Adaptive Trials Expertise with the Appointment of Parvin Fardipour, PhD

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aptiv Solutions, a biopharmaceutical and medical device development services company, and the leader in adaptive clinical trial design, simulation and execution, announced today the appointment of Parvin Fardipour, PhD to the role of Vice President of Adaptive Clinical Trials. She will work with sponsors to identify opportunities for applying adaptive designs to their clinical trials to optimize the information yield from their studies. Moreover, she will leverage her 23 years in successfully managing such studies in global pharmaceutical companies to ensure they are operationalized efficiently and effectively.

Most recently, Dr. Fardipour worked at Theorem Clinical Research as Director of Global Statistical Programming, where she directed the successful execution of an innovative Phase 2/3 combined study. Prior to joining Theorem Clinical Research, she spent 16 years at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, which became part of Pfizer during that time. At Wyeth/Pfizer, she ultimately served as Senior Director of Adaptive Trials and Applied Program Strategies. In that role, Dr. Fardipour led the statistical design, implementation and execution of many adaptive design studies. She validated statistical designs, established a business model to outline cost-benefit of innovative design, published several articles on adaptive clinical trials inclusive of a white paper on the role of DMCs in adaptive design, trained the clinical teams and worked with external vendors to develop adaptive execution environment tools. Prior positions at Wyeth included varying roles leading global teams of biostatisticians, statistical programmers and consultants.

Dr. Fardipour received her Ph.D. in System Science from City University/Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in London, UK. She also holds both a Master of Science degree in Information Engineering from City University in London and a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics from Kings College at the University of London.
