Posting an online press release to EON: Enhanced Online News is a simple and straightforward process and is done completely through our website by following these easy steps.

Create an Account

If you already have an account*, you can simply login and skip this step. If you are a first time visitor to the site or have never registered for an account, click the Register link at the top of the page and fill out the required details to get started.

Once you've completed the form, verify your email address and log in.

*Please note that you cannot use an existing Business Wire Connect account on EON: Enhanced Online News. You must create a new account or order EON through the Connect interface on BusinessWire.com.

Build Your Release

Now that you have an account and are logged in, click the Send a Press Release link at the top of the page to start assembling your release.

The first step of the Press Release Builder is to write or copy and paste each component of the release into the corresponding form field, which are as follows:

• Headline (required) — The headline displays as the title of your release on any webpages it appears on.
• Sub Headline — The sub headline is not required, but when used can provide additional information to supplement the press release headline.
• Dateline City (required) — The dateline city is the city where your news originates. This is often a company headquarters.
• Body (required) — The body is the bulk of your release. Along with release text, the body can also include special formatting such as bold, italics and bullet points as well as embedded images hosted offsite.
• Organization Boilerplate — The organization boilerplate is a standard description of your company which typically doesn't change significantly from release to release.
• Contact Information (required) — Contact information for your company or main public relations manager.

Optimize Your Release

Once you've assembled your release, you have the option to use our free optimization tools to analyze your top keywords and update your press release text based on the provided keyword recommendations.

To use the optimization tool, come up with a list of keywords and key phrases that are important to your business or press releases and enter them.

Once you identify and enter your keywords, you'll proceed to keyword analysis, where your top keywords will be analyzed by our keyword database for metrics including daily search statistics. Based on the results, you can refine your keyword list and optimize your press release text based on our suggestions.

Add Multimedia

Press releases perform better when multimedia such as photos or videos are included with the release text. Your release also includes up to three multimedia assets for free, so why not use them?

To include multimedia, simply upload each photo or video and include a unique caption.

Add Details

Once you've completed assembling your press release and added multimedia, the next step is to add your organization details, a release summary, target categories, and your company's website URL to be used as a website preview on the press release display. These elements make your press release more attractive to the search engines and readers, resulting in increased online and social media exposure.

Complete Your Order

Finally, complete your release by confirming your information and submitting your order. Releases are prepared by our editorial team and added to the site within 24 hours.
