MELVILLE, N.Y.--(EON:Enhanced Online News)--Aspiring videobloggers or filmmakers can win as much as $25,000 by answering the question of “How to Watch Internet TV” as part of a contest announced today by Network2 (www.network2.tv), the leading guide to the best Internet TV content available on the Web. The contest is being sponsored by communications industry pioneer Jeff Pulver and pulvermedia, Network2’s parent company.
“If they can mention Network2 in their submission, even better because we believe our site is the best place to answer the question of ‘What do you want to watch on the Internet today?’”
Content producers are challenged to create either an episode of their own Internet TV show or videoblog or a stand-alone clip that provides the best guide for watching Internet TV. Zaniness, humor and offbeat approaches are encouraged. Submissions are due to Network2 by March 9th at 11:59 p.m. and the top three prizes, which total $40,000, will be announced on March 20th at the Spring Video on the Net conference in San Jose.
“We think this is a chance to drive awareness of the immensely talented artists creating longer-form content for the Internet, who in the process can win Jeff Pulver’s money,” said Pulver, who is financing the contest. “If they can mention Network2 in their submission, even better because we believe our site is the best place to answer the question of ‘What do you want to watch on the Internet today?’”
Finalists will be announced on March 16th. First prize is $25,000, followed by second and third prizes of $10,000 and $5,000, respectively. A full explanation of the contest’s rules can be found at http://pulver.com/contest/rules.html. Contest producers do not have to have a show that is currently airing on Network2 to participate.
