Bit9 and Kaspersky Lab Announce Strategic Worldwide Technology Partnership

Under the agreement, Kaspersky Lab plans to integrate Bit9’s award-winning, patent-pending whitelisting technology into future Kaspersky product offerings.

As the most comprehensive catalog of software found in Windows, UNIX, and Linux packages as well as malware and other unwanted software, the Bit9 Knowledgebase provides essential trust-related information, including:

• original name and size of the file
• publisher that created the file
• products in which the file appears
• all sources of data
• threat level of the file
