MAX Layout Editor Now Supports OpenAccess and IPL Standards

Another problem facing chip designers is the lack of interoperable processor design kits (PDKs). The IPL Alliance solves this problem through the use of open standards for PCells. Micro Magic, Inc. is now an official member of the IPL Alliance. The entire MAX family of layout tools now has the ability to use IPL-based PDKs.

By combining the world’s fastest layout editor with OpenAccess and IPL standards, Micro Magic provides real choice for chip design professionals.

About IPL

IPL (Interoperable PDK Libraries) is an industry alliance established on April 2007 to collaborate on the creation and distribution of an open-source interoperable PCell library that supports the OpenAccess database from the Silicon Integration Initiative (Si2).
