Derick Tjin Appointed Business Wire's Country Manager, Canada

TORONTO--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Derick Tjin, a veteran business development executive with extensive experience in the newswire and financial markets sectors, has been named Business Wire's Canada country manager, Gregg Castano, co-chief operating officer, announced today.

Tjin has served in sales and marketing management roles with the Canadian Press [Broadcast News] as well as BCE Emergis' E-News and ISDN, commercial news services that have since been absorbed by industry competitors. He also has worked for the TSX Group, and was most recently a consultant to NASDAQ.

Tjin, who is based in the Toronto bureau, will direct Business Wire's nationwide operations, which also include sales offices in Calgary and Vancouver.
