BDO (SA) Selects Maconomy’s Tax, Audit and Accounting Solution

BOSTON--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Maconomy, the international supplier of ERP solutions for Professional Services Organizations (PSO), has signed a deal with the South African audit firm BDO Spencer Steward, a part of the world's fifth-largest accounting network. The deal includes an ERP solution for 480 users.

Maconomy’s South African partner MSA has signed a deal with the renowned South African audit firm BDO Spencer Steward (BDO) for 480 users, boosting the total number of users at BDO in South Africa to 680. The solution includes the Maconomy Tax, Audit and Accounting Solution with advanced Business Intelligence capabilities.

BDO is a recognized audit firm with offices in major South African cities and in the surrounding countries as well. One of BDO’s main challenges was to consolidate their business as part of a major reorganization from autonomously managed local offices to a centrally managed organization. BDO realized that it needed an integrated and industry-deep ERP solution to put the plan into practice.

After a meticulous selection process, BDO selected Maconomy’s specially designed Tax, Audit and Accounting solution from a field of large international players and local niche vendors. BDO concluded that Maconomy would enable them to implement cleaner workflows throughout the organization. BDO also valued the fact that Maconomy's audit solution would require only a minimum of customization and could be rolled out to multiple local sites without any major hassle.
