BURR RIDGE, Ill.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Integrated Project Management Company, Inc. (IPM) today announced that it has been awarded the Chicago and Northern Illinois Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. “helps to illuminate the importance of a corporate conscience.”
“Since IPM’s inception in 1988, our steadfast goal has been to establish an extraordinarily strong foundation based upon clearly defined values, high performance standards, and an obsession for continually improving,” said C. Richard Panico, IPM’s president and CEO. “Our values-centric approach to all aspects of our business has become a core component of our brand and a key competitive advantage. It is a great source of pride for our employees, our most valuable assets, and promotes staff retention. External validation of our ethical character through receipt of these prestigious awards reinforces our belief that our reputation is our greatest value proposition.”
Through the Torch award, the BBB recognizes companies that demonstrate “high ethical standards of behavior toward customers, suppliers, shareholders, employees and communities.” The award itself “helps to illuminate the importance of a corporate conscience.”
In addition to local BBB awards, IPM is a former winner of the BBB’s top honor, the Council of Better Business Bureaus’ International Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics, which it received in 2005. The company also has been named by Inc. magazine for the last three years to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies nationwide. In 2008, IPM was named one of 15 Top Small Workplaces nationwide by The Wall Street Journal and Winning Workplaces. Mr. Panico serves on the board of directors of the DePaul University Institute for Business and Professional Ethics. He frequently speaks to organizations about the role of ethics in business conduct.
