AOL Announces Nominees for Ninth Annual Citys Best Program

Voting Now Open for 8,000 Nominated Restaurants, Bars and Venues in 40 Markets Across the U.S.; New Mobile Voting Lets Consumers Vote On the Go

DULLES, Va. (Business Wire EON) May 8, 2008 -- AOL announced the 8,000 nominees for Citys Best 2008, which celebrates the best in local dining and nightlife across the country. Between now and July 10, consumers can vote for their favorite venues in categories such as Best Burgers, Best Cheap Eats, Best Romantic Restaurants, Best Sports Bars and many more. Special focus is also placed on local cuisine with categories including Best Delis in New York, Best Po Boys in New Orleans, and Best Surf-Side Dining in Los Angeles, for example.

Consumers rely on our comprehensive local entertainment guides to help find restaurants and things to do, and now we're inviting them to help us recognize the best of the best in their cities.
Online voting for Citys Best 2008 is open at http://www.aol.com/citysbest. New this year, participants can also go to http://wap.aol.com/citysbest from any Web-enabled mobile device to cast their vote for Best Restaurant and Best Bar in any of the 40 featured markets.[1]

City's Best nominations are based both on insights of the Citys Best editorial team and user feedback. Consumers' votes and rankings determine which venues are chosen No. 1 in their categories.
