For Adhesive Bras and Concealers Advanced Silicone Gel Adhesives Remove Easily from Skin

WINDSOR, Conn. (Business Wire EON) April 22, 2008 -- For adhesive bra and concealer applications, Scapa Medical has introduced its Bioflex® line of advanced silicone gel pressure sensitive adhesives. Designed to be extremely gentle on sensitive skin, these products adhere securely to contoured areas of the body and stay firmly in place when exposed to perspiration or moisture. Tacky to the touch, they remove easily without leaving residue on the skin or on fabrics.

Scapas Bioflex® silicone gels can be used to construct adhesive bras, shapers, lifts, concealers, and fashion tapes. They are available in both single and double coated constructions on breathable films and non-woven materials. These lightweight, conformable Bioflex® products are washable and regain adhesion when properly dried. They are designed to be removed, cleaned, and reused. Fundamentally soft and pliable, these silicone gels remove easily regardless of how long they have been on the skins surface.

The available double coated product, Bioflex® Rx1268S, is a 2 mil elastic co-polyester film coated on one side with silicone gel adhesive and with an acrylic adhesive on the opposite side. The acrylic adhesive on this product adheres to fabrics, non-wovens, films and foams.
