New Website Creates Community, Opportunity for Small Business
The free online site Briz.com provides exposure and networking opportunities. It also empowers small business to stay in contact with customers.
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Small businesses now have a new powerful ally on the Internet with the launch of Briz.com, the first Web site that creates local communities and opportunities for small business owners. And it’s free.
“We make it possible to market to specific local communities”
Briz.com allows small business owners to create a thorough business profile to enhance business relationships, share information, and stay in contact with their clients, customers, and/or suppliers. Briz offers small businesses free exposure to their current market as well as new markets.
“Social networking for businesses is what Briz.com is all about,” says Michael Librizzi, founder of Briz.com. The site was designed to make it as easy as point-and-click for small business owners; no computer knowledge is needed to get started.
Consumers can become “Friends” with a business. Businesses can become “Biz Buds” with each other to enhance marketing efforts. And businesses can add suppliers as “Business Associates” to connect an entire marketplace.
“We make it possible to market to specific local communities,” says Librizzi. “Businesses can stay in constant connection with their business contacts. When a business makes an update, their entire marketplace is automatically notified.”
After businesses sign up on the site, they’re only a few simple steps away from creating an online business profile. Businesses can list company details, a business description, highlight business expertise, or list news, events, coupons, menus, services and products.
“We combine local search with social networking and enhance the entire supply chain, from customers to business partners to suppliers. Businesses can use Briz to find new leads, new clients, and promote business in their local area.” Librizzi says in just the first week the site was in operation, a jewelry business connected with a jewelry supply business. They’re now working together.
Librizzi, a Syracuse University graduate and a former Morgan Stanley employee left the firm to pursue his dream of empowering business owners with the tools that can produce powerful connections and yield opportunity.
“The goal of Briz.com is to create an online community from the perspective and needs of small business owners,” says Librizzi.
