New Campaign Urges Americans to Share Small Changes for Better Health
With Each Change Shared Online, Shedd's Spread Country Crock(R) Will
Feed a Family in Need Through America's Second Harvest
ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. (Business Wire EON) April 21, 2008 --
Imagine if it was possible to a share a story about a small change and
feed a hungry family in one simple step. That's why Country
Crock(R) is launching a campaign today called “Small
Changes” at www.YourFamilyTable.com
to introduce its new Omega Plus
spread. The campaign invites people to share the little things they do
to improve their families' health. With each small change shared, Country
Crock Omega Plus will donate a meal to a family in need through America's
Second Harvest - The Nation's Food Bank Network1.
Five-time Grammy Award-winning singer Amy
Grant is teaming up with Country Crock Omega
Plus on the “Small Changes”
campaign, encouraging families to share the simple changes they make in
their lives. She believes that these little things can add up to a big
difference in a family's health and well-being.
“For me, small changes can be as simple as
asking [my husband]
Vince and my kids to take a bike ride together, or trying to make
healthy eating choices when preparing a family dinner,”
said Grant. “I am happy to be a part of this
campaign because it has the potential to help families across the
country make their lives a little bit healthier, while at the same time
supporting the great work done by America's Second Harvest.”
The campaign features a new half-hour television program, “Small
Changes,” showcasing Grant, along with some of
the biggest names in country music. The show will air on the Great
American Country channel starting April 24th at 8:30 p.m. EST and will
focus on what these stars are doing to make positive differences in the
lives of their families. Grant will also launch a three-minute segment
on both the Food Network and Great American Country, where she pays a
surprise visit to the Second Harvest Food Bank in Nashville and cooks a
meal for volunteers and visitors from the community.
