Iptivia Completes Series A Financing Round
Funding To Be Used To Strengthen Leadership in Service Fidelity for Next Generation IP Applications
NEW YORK--(EON:Enhanced Online News)--Iptivia, Inc. announced that it has completed a Series A financing round led by Paladin Capital Group with participation from OmniCapital Group and additional investments from the founding team. The funds allow Iptivia to accelerate its international expansion, broaden its product development activities, and address new market segments such as IPTV providers.
“We are seeing a major transition in the industry, with IP networks being used to deliver services such as real-time video that would not have been considered possible a few years ago”
Iptivia is the leader in real-time service assurance for IP networks that carry high-bandwidth multimedia applications. Iptivia has core intellectual property that provides the real-time diagnosis, remediation, and monitoring required to deliver mission-critical services over large IP networks. Iptivia’s customers include all types of large service providers, including wireline, cable and broadband wireless operators, and large-scale enterprise customers. Iptivia has also established strong partnerships with leading network equipment vendors and system integrators.
The company further announced the election of Philip Eliot (representing Paladin), Gerald Butters (representing Omni) and Jack Hembrough (independent) to its Board of Directors. Gerry Butters is a communications industry veteran whose career encompasses senior executive positions at Nortel Networks, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies. At Lucent, he led a sales force with $23.6 billion in annual sales to service providers. Jack Hembrough is founder and Chairman of Application Security, a highly successful company in the same high-end enterprise customer market targeted by Iptivia.
“Paladin and Omni have strong relationships with the Federal Government and telecommunications providers, two sectors that are critically important for our success,” said Inder Gopal, CEO and co-founder of Iptivia. “I am very happy to have such a stellar group of board members. Both Gerry Butters and Jack Hembrough bring exceptional operational experience and industry knowledge to the table, and Philip Eliot brings a strong track record of success working with start-up companies.”
“We are seeing a major transition in the industry, with IP networks being used to deliver services such as real-time video that would not have been considered possible a few years ago,” said Philip Eliot of Paladin. “Iptivia is uniquely positioned to help make this transition a reality. I am excited to become part of this team.”
“The challenge of making IP networks suitable for the carriage of real-time services such as video is the major challenge for the networking industry,” observed Arun Netravali, managing partner and founder of OmniCapital Group and President Emeritus of Bell Laboratories. “I am proud to work with the talented individuals at Iptivia to help us meet this challenge.”
