the 2008 JavaOne(SM) conference General Sessions, as well as details on
JavaOne conference Pavilion “villages”,

The 2008 JavaOne conference offers attendees a unique opportunity to
hear from industry leaders and other technology experts - those

interested in a programming challenge can participate in the RoboHACC,
which involves programming and obstacle course solution algorithm for

will have Mini Talk sessions on java.net projects and communities, every

New for 2008, the SOA Village is dedicated to Java technology-based
tools and services for SOA implementations. Information on participating

Media, featuring SOA case studies, best-practice tutorials and other
educational content from the Java software community.
Java Playground
In this area, attendees can get real life hands-on experience with the
latest Java technology-based products, applications and games. From
mobile and desktop games from java.com, the Java Powered Tommy Jr. Car
and real-time Java control station to a Java Card(TM) 3.0 developer
challenge and the winners of the 2008 Duke's Choice Award. Developers
can also stop by Sun's “virtual”
Java Playground in Second Life, where they can equip their avatar with
all the latest Java logo branded goodies, drive off in a replica of the
Tommy Jr. Car and more.
