Cooler for New Philips Lexel LED Downlight Module
Ultra Reliable and Thermally Effective Active LED Cooling Technology
From Nuventix Designed for Breakthrough Energy Saving LED Systems
LAS VEGAS (Business Wire EON) May 28, 2008 --
Today at LIGHTFAIR International 2008, Nuventix, Inc., the electronics
cooling technology innovator and LED industry thermal management
specialist, announced its SynJet™ cooling
option for the Philips Lexel LED Downlight module (DLM). Philips also
announced North America availability of the Fortimo LED DLM, already
utilizing SynJet technology. Nuventix’ SynJet
active cooling solution offers silent operation, long life, and optimal
cooling for the Philips Fortimo and Lexel LED DLM products.
“Philips first announced it would use SynJet
technology by Nuventix in April for the Fortimo LED DLM and we are proud
to continue the line with the Lexel LED DLM solutions. Our technology is
ideal for LED luminaires and is the only solution that offers ultra high
reliability active cooling for LED lighting,”
said Jim Balthazar, president and CEO, Nuventix. “These
Philips products are just one way SynJet technology is accelerating the
commercial viability LEDs for general illumination.”
The Philips Lexel LED DLM is a tunable general illumination solution
which is being launched worldwide. The Fortimo LED DLM products are
directed towards the general lighting market, delivering high quality
illumination with excellent color temperature consistency and increased
energy efficiency. The SynJet units are designed for use with the 1100
and 2000 lumen versions of Fortimo DLM and the Lexel DLM module
products. Both solutions will be on display in the Philips booth at
LIGHTFAIR International 2008.
