Regal Entertainment Group Announces Grand Opening Details for Ithaca Mall Stadium 14

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.--(EON:Enhanced Online News)--Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE:RGC), a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, today announced grand opening details for the new Regal Cinemas Ithaca Mall Stadium 14. The new theatre will host promotional activities beginning Monday, July 16 with three full days of films and special events to benefit local charities. The official grand opening day will be Friday, July 20 with first run features including I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and Hairspray.

“Regal Cinemas Ithaca Mall Stadium 14 will provide a state-of-the-art theatre to an already popular retail center. Our loyal patrons will be impressed as we replace the existing 10-screen theatre with this new facility which boasts stadium seating, digital surround sound and all the latest theatre amenities” stated Dick Westerling, Regal Entertainment Group Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising. “Regal Entertainment Group is excited to bring this modern theatre to such a vibrant community to serve local residents, Cornell University, Ithaca College and the surrounding regions.”

The modern movie theatre with 14 screens covers 63,000 square feet and includes approximately 2,600 seats. Moviegoers will enjoy stadium seating, with each row elevated for an unobstructed view, and plush high-back rocking chairs featuring cupholder armrests which move out of the way to form seats for two. The new theatre is located at the northwest corner of the mall.

Everyone is invited to enjoy this new entertainment destination on Monday, July 16; Tuesday, July 17; and Wednesday, July 18. These Preview Events will feature $1 movies, $1 popcorn and $1 soft drinks with proceeds benefiting local charities.
