Verinon Technology Solutions Achieves SEI CMMi-DEV 1.2v Maturity

in the current format

Verinon Technology Solutions Pvt. Limited, an offshore development
center of Verinon Technology Solutions, Inc., a leading system

platform solutions, today announced it has achieved Software Engineering
Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development
(CMMI-DEV) Level 3 rating satisfying the new V1.2 evaluation
requirements.
The assessment encompassed a thorough review of project management,
engineering, support and process management practices on a variety of
projects including Verinon’s projects and
flagship products which include a claims software platform delivered in
the SaaS model and server based migration and workflow software products
among others.

“The Capability Maturity Model Integration for
Development (CMMi-DEV) is an internationally recognized evaluation
standard for assessing software development practices,”
explained Dr.V.Chandrasekhar, PhD, of Fusion Technologies who served as
the lead consultant during this appraisal. He further explained, “since
the CMMi-DEV 1.2 was introduced in 2006 as the improved successor to
version 1.1, it has become the standard by which organizations measure
the maturity level of their processes”. The
standard was developed by members of industry, the federal government
and Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI).
Mr. Umapathi further explained, “the
implementation of best practices and CMMi allowed us to improve our
methodology and increased productivity through better performance
tracking, visibility and reduction of rework while maintaining our
commitment to quality.” He further expanded by

pursuit by seeking to achieve a CMMi Level 5 certification in the near
